The Best Cold Weather Gear

There are so many great options out there now, but here’s one of my top favorites that I keep in the car year round…

Hot Hands are a staple in our vehicle. We hand them out to the players and put them in our pockets when it’s unexpectedly cold outside. They’re great to just have on hand in case they’re needed and you can get a lot of them in bulk from Amazon or Costco. They also make Hot Hand Toe Warmers too if you constantly are getting cold feet!

For Christmas this year, I got my husband these rechargeable hand warmers for cold games. These are nice because you can use them to warm your hands and charge your phone too. They just require a bit more preparation than the Hot Hand above, but if you keep them charged and in your car or baseball bag, they’re great to have on hand and these get SUPER hot–whereas sometimes the Hot Hands handwarmers are just lukewarm.

Another fantastic option is this heated chair. There are tons of heated chair options online, some that have more sides or that rock, but regardless, having a heated chair will keep you warm even on the coldest days at the baseball field!

One thing I always keep in my car now are blankets. I have 2-3 at all times because they’ve come in handy so many times where I don’t think it’s cold when I leave the house, but I get to the field and it’s much colder. The Mambe Blanket is expensive, but great because it is large and wraps around you and is also waterproof! I’ve seen many a baseball mom huddled comfortably underneath one of these blankets!

Next up are the heated vests. I’ve seen many a mom and dad arrive to the field with a variety of heated vests, heated gloves, etc. They’re also an investment (over $100), but totally worth it if you’re in states where it’s cold in spring and fall and you just need that added layer of protection and heat! Here’s a heated vest that dad may like too!

The Mr. Buddy Heater is also a great option for baseball families! These portable little heaters are great portable heaters that warm up spaces up to 95 square feet around them. They also have a larger option that might be great for the dugout for kids to warm up between innings!

Depending on your level of desire to stay warm, you may or may not consider a Weather Pod. I personally don’t like having to mess with putting these up and taking them down, BUT if you must be outside for long periods of time for sports, then you may really like this. Again–they are pricey, but there’s a price for being comfortable at games! They have larger and smaller options available, but are nice options for siblings who may not be happy about having to be at a cold baseball field all day long!

Here’s another hand warming option–I personally like the idea of this better than gloves because you can take your hands in and out easily. When I’m at the ballfield I want to be able have access to my phone for GameChanger and photos easily, so gloves slow me down, but one these these would be a great way to stay warm and have quick access.

Of course, we can’t forget about our players! Frost Gear Baseball Gloves make gloves for players to wear during cold weather! They have hitting gloves and gloves made to wear for fielding too. Definitely a must have for players that play in cold weather!

Hopefully this list of the Best Cold Weather Gear helps you out for the season ahead!
