Meghan Markle has been accused of being "incredibly envious" of her sister-in-law, the Princess of Wales - and becoming a "disruptive" influence in the royal family.

She is said to have "disrupted" Prince Harry's relationship with key members of the Royal family - including Kate Middleton.

The Duke of Sussex and Princess Kate were said to have shared a close bond before Harry and Meghan stepped back from their Royal duties and divulged private family information through interviews, their Netflix documentary, and Harry's memoir, Spare.

And now a royal commentator has suggested that Meghan upset Harry's relationship with Kate, who had previously met and "approved" of his past girlfriends.

Ingrid Seward, editor in chief of Majesty magazine and author of My Mother and I, told The Telegraph: "Every time he had a new girlfriend, the first person that would meet her would be Kate.

"And then Meghan came into the mix, and it was disruptive. It wasn't like the other girlfriends."

Harry and Kate's relationship was once very close, with Harry reportedly "longing for a sister", However, after Harry and Meghan's 2018 wedding, things are believed to have taken a turn for the worse.

Seward said: "I think that Meghan must have been incredibly envious and then jealous of Kate."

Meghan Markle's relationship with Prince William is reportedly fraught with tension, as revealed in Prince Harry's book where he detailed a heated exchange between his brother and wife.

The Duke of Sussex also alleged a tense incident involving Meghan, Kate Middleton, and Prince William following their 2018 nuptials.

A tea invitation from the Prince and Princess of Wales resulted in a dramatic confrontation, with Prince William allegedly pointing an accusatory finger at Meghan.

The argument was reportedly triggered by Kate's assertion that she was "owed" an apology from Meghan after feeling slighted when the former Suits star teased her about having "baby brain" for forgetting a detail related to the rehearsal timing.

Despite Meghan's apology to Kate, Prince William reportedly leapt to his wife's defence, pointing at Meghan and allegedly saying: "Well, it's rude, Meghan."

Since Meghan and Harry split from the firm in 2020, relations are believed to have soured further with the release of Spare and the Sussexes Netflix series.
