If Leicester have broken the rules, and get deducted points, then we have to just get on with it. What is getting to people is the lack of action regarding other clubs. Buck Rogers In The 25th Century will be a historical by the time the Premier League get round to them.

Steve in Milan: When so many teams are facing points deductions, you start to wonder if it's the clubs or the rule/governing bodies that are the problem.

Manager Robert Page believes Wales are in a stronger position for Tuesday's Euro 2024 play-off final against Poland than when they qualified for the 2022 World Cup via the same route.

Wales beat Finland 4-1 in Thursday's semi-final to set up the Poland tie.

They defeated Ukraine in a play-off final to reach the World Cup despite several players not playing regularly.

Asked if Wales are in a better position now that issue has been resolved, Page said: "I'd say so."

He added: "We are in a healthy position because we've got everybody playing.

"The gap in the World Cup play-offs [between the Austria semi-final in March and Ukraine final in June] suited us because we had senior players who weren't playing club football, in Aaron [Ramsey], in Gareth [Bale].

"That gap helped us. If it had been four or five days later, we might have struggled a bit.

"Now we're in a different position because we've got a younger squad, a fitter squad, we've got players who are playing regularly."

Wales will face Poland for a place at Euro 2024 after beating Finland convincingly in their play-off semi-final in Cardiff.

David Brooks gave the home side the perfect start as he volleyed in on the rebound after Harry Wilson's shot was saved in the third minute.

Finland controlled large spells of the first half and, although Neco Williams doubled Wales' lead with a beautiful curling free-kick, the visitors kept themselves in contention as Teemu Pukki finished calmly shortly before the break.

Brennan Johnson settled any creeping Welsh nerves as he tapped in from Brooks' shot 90 seconds into the second half.

Despite missing chances to add to their lead and having a Ben Davies goal disallowed, Robert Page's men were comfortable winners as substitute Dan James added a late fourth on his 50th cap.

Wales can now turn their attention to Tuesday's play-off final against Poland, again played over one leg at Cardiff City Stadium, for the chance to qualify for a third successive European Championship.
